Eligibility

Students who will be entering grade 6 in the fall at a public school, a private school other than KS, a charter school, Kula Kaiapuni, or are home-schooled are invited to apply. 

Please note that due to the reinstatement of the overnight boarding component of Ho‘omāka‘ika‘i this year, there will be additional medical requirements for ALL participants. 

If your keiki is invited to attend our Ho‘omāka‘ika‘i program, you will need to provide a physical dated after January 1, 2025, and their current immunization record to confirm enrollment. Details to be provided upon completion of the application. 

Submission of medical forms alone does not confirm enrollment to the program. 

Out of state or international applicants:
 If attending the program, ‘ohana must secure their own travel to and from O‘ahu and must provide their keiki transportation to programs check-in site at the Kapālama Campus.
